NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi is advising caution when travelling on State Highway 2 at Wharerātā, south of Gisborne.
Earlier this morning, a tree fell, blocking the southbound lane.
One lane remains open and a clean up crew is on site.
Please be careful and drive to the conditions through the area.
