Night time closures of the Beaumont Bridge on State highway 8 that were needed to carry out routine repairs, have ended sooner than expected.
The job costing $150,000, was done at night to minimise disruptions for road users.
Work started on 10 November and was due to be completed by Friday, 5 December.
However, things have gone smoothly, enabling the contractor to finish the deck repair side of the job yesterday, 3 December. The contractors will remain at the site a little longer to carry out work beneath the bridge, but this won’t impact on road users.
