The NZ Transport Agency advises motorists that detours are in place on a stretch of the Te Rapa section of the Waikato Expressway to allow contractors to complete maintenance works.
The expressway will be closed to southbound traffic between Horotiu and the Wairere Drive on ramp (inclusive of the Koura Drive southbound on ramp) until approximately 4pm today.
Motorist are advised to follow the detour signs currently in place.
The Transport Agency apologises for any inconvenience and thanks motorists for their understanding while these important works are carried out.
