Users of the Red Bridge over the Clutha River on State highway 8A (SH8A) between Luggate and Tarras face a detour of up to 15 minutes for three days next week, while deck repairs are carried out on the bridge.
The repairs, weather permitting, will be undertaken between 7.30am and 5.00pm over a three day period from Tuesday, 22 September through to Thursday, 24 September 2015.
A signposted detour that will be in place during these times is via Kane Road, Camp Hill Road and State highway 6 Albert Town.
In addition to the deck repairs, some of the paint work is being touched to help ensure the bridge is looking its best in time for its centennial celebrations at Labour weekend.
The total cost of this maintenance work is $26,000.
