The NZ Transport Agency is advising motorists of possible delays during night time travel on SH1 near Cambridge next week as work continues on the Cambridge section of the Waikato Expressway Road of National Significance project.
There will be stop/go traffic management in place at the SH1B /Victoria Road Interchange from 7pm on Tuesday (January 27) until 5.30am on Wednesday (January 28) as work is carried out to remove concrete barriers.
A stop/go will also be in place at night on SH1/Golf Hill while road-marking and barrier deployment is carried out on Wednesday and Thursday nights 28 and 29 January, from 6pm-5.30am.
The traffic signals controlling the haul road crossing on SH1B/Victoria Road are being removed today (Friday January 23) as traffic volumes on the haul road have been greatly reduced and any project traffic will give way to vehicles travelling on SH1B.
The Transport Agency thanks motorists for their patience and understanding.
