Motorists travelling through Te Awamutu on State Highway 3 Sloane Street this Wednesday and Thursday are encouraged to consider using alternate routes to avoid delays.
Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency advises the road will be down to one lane under Stop/Go traffic management between Burger King and Ebbett Toyota for testing, in preparation for road improvements next month.
Work is expected to take 1-2 days. On-street parking will be affected during the works.
Through traffic is encouraged to make use of detours, with northbound traffic turning right onto Golf Road, then left onto Cambridge Road before rejoining SH3 at the roundabout. Southbound traffic should turn left onto Cambridge Road, then right onto Gold Road, before rejoining SH3 Kihikihi Road.
