A forklift is special motor vehicle type designed principally to lift, carry or stack goods using one or more tines, platens, clamps or other similar attachments.
To drive a forklift on a road, you must have a driver licence for the appropriate class and an F (forklift) driver licence endorsement. Your forklift must also be registered and have a warrant of fitness – and it may need an alternative fuel certificate.
