The Public Transport Design Guidance provides advice to support the design of high-quality, people-focused public transport throughout New Zealand.
The draft guidance note on Network Infrastructure for Articulated Buses was released in July 2024. This topic provides articulated bus specific advice to inform design by covering issues from typical dimensions of an articulated bus to design at interchanges and layovers. This topic was available for formal feedback for one month. The draft guidance note will remain available on our website while we develop minor revisions based on the feedback received on this topic. It will then be finalised and ratified alongside a number of other Public Transport Design Guidance topics.
If you have any feedback on this topic or other advice provided in the Public Transport Design Guidance you can send this to PTDG@nzta.govt.nz
