Guidance on the Waste Minimisation Act compliance requirements for transport infrastructure delivery and maintenance

This guidance outlines the requirements and responsibilities that the New Zealand Transport Agency Waka Kotahi (NZTA) has under the Waste Minimisation Act 2008, Waste Minimisation (Calculation and Payment of Waste Disposal Levy) Regulations 2009 and the Waste Minimisation (Information Requirements) Regulations 2021.

This guidance applies to NZTA staff, its consultants, contractors and partners involved in the construction and maintenance of its land transport infrastructure.
