We have a lot of great things - we have a wonderful climate and fabulous people from all communities, from all walks of life. It's just a really vibrant community. |

The biggest thing is just trying to cross the road it's just full of traffic all day, big trucks coming through, it's just a constant stream. |

It's certainly off-putting for locals to come out and shop locally in this part of town because of the traffic, the trucks rumbling past, it's often difficult to get a park. |

[Text] The Peka Peka to Ōtaki Expressway (PP2Ō) will provide a safe, reliable and resilient route for both travellers and locals. |

There's a huge amount here that people haven't seen, and if traffic improves and they have a little bit more time they might go into town and check out the proper town. |

I think we've got a great little town with great people. A lot of people who really love the whenua, the maunga, the awa and feel connected to it. And because they're so connected to it, of course, they love it and want to take care of it. |

There's plenty to do in the town, heaps of great little shops, there's heaps of destinations - the river, the sea. I think the whole town can definitely prosper out of a project like this. |
