Engagement with key stakeholders and the broader community on concept designs for improvements to old State Highway 1 (SH1) took place in May 2019. Feedback was then used to develop the preliminary designs which we consulted the community on between April and May 2021.
The revocation process means also considering whether the current speed limits will still be safe and appropriate for old SH1 in future, so – in addition to feedback on the designs – we asked for your views on speed limits for the road and its future new layout.
