The Waitangirua Interchange connects the communities of Whitby and Waitangirua with Te Aranui o Te Rangihaeata – the Transmission Gully motorway, via two new link roads: Waitangirua Link Road and Te Ara Kapehu.
This interchange has on and off-ramps in both directions.

To access the Transmission Gully motorway from Whitby, motorists will use Te Ara Kāpehu from the roundabout at the intersection of James Cook Drive and Navigation Drive.
From Waitangirua, motorists will use the Waitangirua Link Road at the intersection of Niagara Street and Warspite Avenue.
