This interchange near Pāuatahanui connects Te Aranui o Te Rangihaeata – the Transmission Gully motorway with State Highway 58. It is the main access for motorists going to or coming from the Hutt Valley in the east and Paremata in the west.

Motorists travelling from Kāpiti or Porirua will need to use this interchange to get to the Hutt Valley via SH58.
This is also the main interchange for those travelling to Pāuatahanui, Paremata and attractions such as Battle Hill Farm Forest Park.
