Decide whether to modify or withdraw activity - overview

Introduction

This section covers Approved Organisations’ and the Transport Agency’s (state highways) decisions to modify or withdraw activities that have not been accepted by a Regional Transport Committee (RTC) for inclusion in a Regional Land Transport Plan (RLTP) on the grounds that they are ineligible or incomplete.

Overview information

The RTC, in developing an RLTP under the Land Transport Management Act (LTMA), is required to consider the eligibility and completeness of the activity for inclusion in its RLTP.  This will be based on the linked checklist  and activity class/work category criteria.

The RTC should not accept activities or combinations of activities that do not meet these requirements. It should provide feedback to the Approved Organisation or the Transport Agency(state highways) as to why the activity is not being accepted and provide an opportunity for the activity to be updated to enable it to be included in the RLTP.

The affected Approved Organisation or the Transport Agency(state highways) need to decide whether to:

  • modify the activity information in Transport Investment Online, to rectify issues raised by the RTC and resubmit the activity to the RTC for consideration, or else
  • withdraw the activity from RLTP consideration.
