Discuss and devise plan

Where action is required, e.g. in response to a variation from plan, usually this will be discussed with other parts of the NZTA, e.g. regional staff, and may involve programme deliverers outside of the NZTA. A plan will be devised to get NLTP A National Land Transport Programme Interrelated and complementary combination of activities that, when delivered in a coordinated manner, produce synergies – can span more than one work category and more than one activity class, e.g. a programme could include a road improvement and public transport improvement activities. adopted by the NZTA under section 19 of the LTMA, as from time to time amended or varied delivery (including cashflow) back on track.  This can include:

  • collaboration with Approved Organisations to identify alternative scenarios for meeting their plans and funding requirements,
  • identifying opportunities to defer (or advance) particular activities,

NZTA’s Finance team would be expected to play a major role in most discussions and plans, especially where possible use or adjustment of the short-term debt facility is proposed.

 

This step, along with Step 4 (Review and check progress against plan), may precede the report to the Group Manager, Board The NZ Transport Agency Board. , etc, so that the action and plan are recommended as part of the report.
