Road operations, maintenance and renewal programmes: Activity classes - guidance

 

Introduction

This section sets out the guidance on the activity classes for road operations, maintenance and renewal programmes. 

 

This page relates to the 2012-15 NLTP A National Land Transport Programme Interrelated and complementary combination of activities that, when delivered in a coordinated manner, produce synergies – can span more than one work category and more than one activity class, e.g. a programme could include a road improvement and public transport improvement activities. adopted by the NZTA under section 19 of the LTMA, as from time to time amended or varied only.

Which activity class?

There are four activity classes as described below.

  • Activity class 8:  Maintenance and operation of local roads - applies to Approved Organisations only
  • Activity class 9:  Maintenance and operation of state highways -applies to the NZTA (state highways) only
  • Activity class 10:  Renewal of local roads - applies to Approved Organisations only
  • Activity class 11:  Renewal of state highways - applies to the NZTA (state highways) only.

 

To qualify for NLTP A National Land Transport Programme Interrelated and complementary combination of activities that, when delivered in a coordinated manner, produce synergies – can span more than one work category and more than one activity class, e.g. a programme could include a road improvement and public transport improvement activities. adopted by the NZTA under section 19 of the LTMA, as from time to time amended or varied consideration

Any road operation, maintenance or renewal activity described in the work categories in this section may qualify for consideration for inclusion in the NLTP A National Land Transport Programme Interrelated and complementary combination of activities that, when delivered in a coordinated manner, produce synergies – can span more than one work category and more than one activity class, e.g. a programme could include a road improvement and public transport improvement activities. adopted by the NZTA under section 19 of the LTMA, as from time to time amended or varied .
