Clearly identify and state regional transport priorities and communicate to achieve alignment - overview

Overview

The Regional Transport Committee (and Auckland Transport) needs to clearly identify and state the transport priorities for the region and communicate these to Approved Organisations and the NZTA. This is to ensure that Approved Organisations and the NZTA are clear on regional transport priorities and that there is alignment between national, regional and local level proposals for funding assistance, which will feed into the development of Regional Land Transport Plans Plans describe the tactics to give effect to a strategy. They are specific in content, action oriented and outputs focussed, resulting in a tangible set of activities to be delivered within a clear timeframe. (RLTPs Regional land transport plans, prepared under Part 2 of the LTMA, as from time to time amended or varied. ).
