Heavy rain has frustrated efforts by the Transport Agency to re-open State highway 6 between the Gates of Haast Bridge and Haast Pass Summit today, forcing the closure of the road until Wednesday at the very least.
The NZ Transport Agency advises people using the state highway network in Northland to be aware of maintenance work at various locations in the region. Speed restrictions and changes in the highway layout may be operating at some of the locations.
