Stage One of The Strand Optimisation Project is nearing completion, with an upcoming four-night closure planned between Quay Street/ Tamaki Drive and Beach Road.

Update 21 March: Due to adverse weather this week, the rehabilitation of a section of State Highway 29 at Te Poi near Matamata will now finish on Friday 28 March, a week later than anticipated.
The duration of work below on State Highway 3 (SH3) between Rukuhia Road and Narrows Road near Hamilton airport has been extended and will now be completed on Friday 4 April.
People traveling northbound on State Highway 1 Te Aranui o Te Rangihaeata – Transmission Gully need to be ready for night-time resurfacing works this weekend.
Road Reconstruction:
Extra time is needed to complete road reconstruction work on State Highway 6 near Pelorus.
Originally scheduled to be completed this week, the project is now expected to be complete in mid-April.
