This email scam tells you that we owe you a refund and gives you a link to claim the refund.

Here’s how you can tell it’s not a genuine email from us:

  • Check the most common signs of a phishing scam
  • If we owe you a refund, you’ve most likely completed a transaction with us recently and you’ll be expecting the refund. If you're not expecting a refund, or you’re not sure, don’t click on any links or enter your personal or payment details anywhere.
  • Our genuine refund emails include an attachment. The attachment includes specific details about your refund, like your vehicle plate, the refund reason, and the date you did a transaction with us. Scammers won’t know your specific details, so they won’t include them or they’ll use fake, incorrect details.
