A VIN is a unique 17-character number that identifies your vehicle.
Registration should be cancelled if a motor vehicle has reached the end of its life or is unable to be used on New Zealand roads.
If your vehicle's registration has been cancelled and you want to use the vehicle on the road again, it must be reregistered.
