SCAM ALERTS: Refund email and Vehicle licence (rego) renewal phishing emails

Accessing current names and addresses in the Motor Vehicle Register was previously granted using 'class authorisations' for all traders, insurers, finance companies and petrol stations. These all expired on 31 October 2017.

If you were previously covered by a class authorisation, you’ll need to have your own authorisation (or use an authorisation for an industry body that you’re a member of) to regain access to current names and addresses in the Motor Vehicle Register.

There are cost effective alternatives for organisations that only require infrequent access to current name and address details.

Assess whether your organisation should and shouldn't apply, and how to apply.
