Drive is a free learning tool to help young people become safe, capable drivers. There are games and quizzes in an interactive road code, video lessons, plus coaching guides to help you teach someone to drive.

This Portal centralises our road safety education resources for teachers, road safety coordinators and Police working with early childhood, primary and secondary school students.

This summer we’re reminding people to make safe driving choices when travelling throughout the country, as well as reminding them about our maintenance programme on the state highway network.

Roadie no-no’s is our latest youth-focused campaign, targeting RIDS behaviours (restraints, impairment, distraction, speed) in those aged 18-24.

NZ Super Rugby teams and Moana Pasifika are supporting road safety by reminding everyone to buckle up, drive sober, pay full attention to driving and drive to the conditions—see what your teams have to say, so you can get to where you’re going, safely.

This campaign is aimed at young males, aged 18-39 years and encourages them to wear a seatbelt to keep themselves safe for their families and friends.

Real riders feature in this campaign encouraging other riders to mitigate the risks of every ride. They address five road safety behaviours – ride to your ability, impairment and fatigue, speed, PPE and rider training.

A range of cardboard vehicles are used in this campaign to show how vulnerable you are in a lower safety-rated car, encouraging people to visit Rightcar to check their safety rating.

This campaign asks people to consider the consequences of drinking and driving, outside of crashing or losing your licence, by showing different personal and social scenarios people could face.

Drivers have a variety of ‘reasons’ and excuses for their speeding and Police hear them every day. This campaign aims to show how little these excuses mean when you’re faced with the consequences.

Drugs are present in nearly a third of all fatal crashes on New Zealand roads. This campaign aims to raise awareness that drug driving is causing harm and to discourage people from driving after taking drugs.

Nearly 40 percent of New Zealanders admit to sending or reading text messages in a vehicle, while nearly 20 percent check or reply to social media messages. The campaign encourages young drivers to ‘have a hmmm’ and to put their phone on do not disturb before driving.
