Sections of state highways required to reverse under the Land Transport Rule: Setting of Speed Limits 2024 (the Rule) must be implemented along with any roadside safety improvements by 1 July 2025.
Speed changes along a section of state highway may require multiple sign changes, different locations of repeater signs, and possible changes in road marking. NZTA is managing implementation regionally, with existing contracts utilised where possible.
This list of speed limit reversals will be updated regularly as implementation dates are confirmed.
