Traffic management across New Zealand’s network of state highways and local roads is fundamental to keeping people safe on our roads. Our roads are used daily by vehicles, cyclists and pedestrians, and have many people working on them. Changes to the operation of these roads under temporary traffic management is a core activity on the network, providing safety and access to all road users and workers.
Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency (Waka Kotahi) is responsible for setting the requirements for the safe and efficient management and operation of temporary traffic management (TTM) on all roads in New Zealand. The Code of Practice for Temporary Traffic Management (CoPTTM) is Waka Kotahi’s best practice guideline for temporary traffic management in New Zealand.
The CoPTTM website is a comprehensive central hub that provides information relating to the application of the CoPTTM.
If you would like to know more about Waka Kotahi and what we are involved in, information is available through our Waka Kotahi website.
