The purpose of this framework is to provide urban design for the specimen design, procurement, design and construction, and asset management stages of the Victoria Park Tunnel Project (VPT).
The VPT project is a key part of the Central Motorway Improvements and the Auckland motorway system. The project corridor extends along the existing State Highway 1 to the approaches of the Auckland Harbour Bridge. It is an area that encounters a range of urban, open space, indigenous heritage and landscape conditions, many of which are unique to the Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland identity.
