Guidance notes provided as there is no standard TNZ M/3 Specification for sub-base aggregate. The variety of satisfactory materials is too wide to set a rational standard specification and custom written specifications must be used that match the design of each individual project. These notes set out the recommended format of the sub-base specification and minimum requirements.
