While we work to deliver the new highway, we continue to make the existing State Highway safer now.
Safer speeds
This work includes the introduction of safe speeds to sections of State Highway 1 and State Highway 57 between Ōtaki and north of Levin, and safety improvements on State Highway 1 from Ōtaki to Foxton, and State Highway 57 to Shannon.
