Wellington drivers advised of new road layout on SH1 from tomorrow

|

The NZ Transport Agency is advising drivers heading south into the city on SH1 tomorrow that a new road layout will be in place at Linden along the Tawa straights to accommodate for work on the Transmission Gully project.

Two new lanes have been constructed in the central median and traffic will be moved over onto these new southbound lanes, to allow for construction of the new Collins Street overbridge.

Drivers are urged to comply with the temporary speed restrictions which will be in place, and to take extra care as everyone gets used to the new road layout.

More information on the latest construction update is available on the Transmission Gully project  webpage.
