Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency is advising motorists of upcoming overnight road maintenance on State Highway 16 (SH16).
These overnight works had initially been planned to be completed this evening (Monday 10 July) but will require an additional shift tomorrow night (Tuesday 11 July).
The Lincoln Road eastbound offramp will also be closed tomorrow night (11 July) from 8pm – 5am.
Tonight’s closure (10 July) is GOING AHEAD as planned.

On Sunday 9 July and Monday 10 July, from 8pm – 5am, the Lincoln Road eastbound offramp will be closed.
All motorists travelling east on SH16 that want to get off the motorway at Lincoln Road, will need to continue past Lincoln Road and exit at the Te Atatu offramp and follow the detour in place.
Electronic signage will be in place to notify motorists of these closures.
Contractors will be upgrading the traffic lights to reflect the changes made as part of the Northwestern Bus Improvements project(external link).
Motorists may notice changes to the phasing of signals at the traffic lights as a result of the changes.
Additional closures will be required at a later date to complete these works.
