State Highway 1 (Russley Road) will be closed to northbound traffic from 9am for about half an hour at the Memorial Avenue/Russley Road intersection to right a truck and trailer unit that rolled just north of the roundabout at 3am.
Northbound traffic has been reduced to one lane at the intersection.
Northbound traffic will be detoured west on Memorial Avenue, around the roundabout at the airport, along Orchard Road and back down Wairakei Road to connect with State Highway 1.
Southbound traffic are also advised to expect delays.
The closure is expected to be for about 30 minutes, however motorists are advised the detour may be in place longer.
