SH26 south of Paeroa reopens a day early

|

State Highway 26 south of Paeroa has reopened this afternoon, a day ahead of schedule.

The road had been closed since 18 November for repairs to the Rotokohu Canal Bridge with a detour in place via State Highway 2, Awaiti Road and Paeroa-Tahuna Road for those travelling south from Paeroa, with the reverse for traffic heading north toward Paeroa.

Acting Waikato System Manager Rob Campbell says the Transport Agency’s contractors worked hard to get the road reopened early.

“The Transport Agency thanks motorists for their patience.”

Plan ahead for a safe, enjoyable journey this summer. Keep up to date with:
