SH20 full motorway closure

The NZ Transport Agency advises of the following overnight closures on the Southwestern Motorway (SH20) to complete demolition of the old Rimu Road overbridge.

Closures will take place each night on Wednesday 10 and Thursday 11 December from 9pm until 5am the following morning.

  • Northbound motorway lanes between Coronation Road off-ramp and Rimu Road on-ramp
  • Southbound motorway lanes between Rimu Road/Mahunga Drive off-ramp and Walmsley Road on-ramp
  • Coronation Road northbound on-ramp

Contingency date: Sunday 14 and Monday 15 December

Please follow the signposted detour routes via Mahunga Drive or Coronation Road.
