Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency is advising that State Highway 1 at Kuku, south of Levin, is closed due to a serious crash.
Emergency services are on their way to the site of the crash and Police will need to undertake an investigation, so the road will be closed for several hours.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area and delay their journey, if possible, as there is no viable detour route.
