Road works to start next week in Piopio township

|

The NZTA advises that road works are scheduled to start on State Highway 3 in Piopio township next week, and some delays are expected.

The NZ Transport Agency (NZTA) advises that road works are scheduled to start on State Highway 3 in Piopio township next week, and some delays are expected.

The works involve road reconstruction from the Kuratahi Stream Bridge in Piopio to 1.3km north of the town.

Weather permitting, the work will start on Monday 20 September and be completed in mid November.

NZTA Acting Hamilton State Highway Manager Michelle Te Wharau says the works will involve stop/go traffic control and traffic will be reduced to one lane at times.

Motorists are asked to observe the directions of on-site personnel.

These works are weather dependant and may be delayed if adverse weather prevents the works being carried out as programmed.
