Road works to begin next week on State Highway 2

|

The NZ Transport Agency (NZTA) advises motorists that road works are scheduled to begin at the Pokeno end of State Highway 2 next week, and some travel delays are expected.

The road works will be carried out over a 1km stretch of SH2, in the vicinity of Serpell and Pinnacle Hill Roads, starting approximately 3km east of the SH1/SH2 intersection near Pokeno.

NZTA West Waikato Area Engineer, Gerhard van Blerk says if weather permits, the works will begin on Wednesday 29 October and will continue for approximately three weeks.

The works will require stop/go traffic control, and a 30 km/h speed restriction will be in place through the work area.

Mr van Blerk advises motorists to allow some extra time for their journey while the works are underway.
