State Highway 1 is closed at Karapiro Road and SH29 at Totman Road and Taotaoroa Road, following a serious crash in the area.
Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency Acting Waikato System Manager Rob Campbell says motorists are encouraged to delay their journeys where possible and to avoid the area.
