Resurfacing work on SH2 Waipukurau to Waipawa next week

Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency is advising that State Highway 2 between Waipukurau and Waipawa will undergo resurfacing work starting from Wednesday 28 October 2020.

Crews will be laying a final coat of seal as part of the standard construction process.

The work, including all sweeping and line marking associated with the resurfacing, is expected to be completed by Tuesday 3 November and will take place between 8am and 4pm each day.

Two-way traffic will be maintained at all times, however there will be temporary speed restrictions in place. Motorists are advised to plan ahead and expect delays.

The work is part of the wider safety improvements project between Waipukurau and Waipawa, including the installation of barriers.
