Lower North Island/Upper South Island - Planned state highway roadworks

Lower North Island:

Top of the South Island:

  • Culvert repairs on State Highway 6 near Pelorus Bridge until the end of the week. Stop/Go traffic management will be in place on weekdays between 7.30 am and 5 pm. Short delays can be expected and drivers travelling between Nelson and Blenheim should allow extra time for their journeys.
  • Underslip repairs continue on State Highway 60 Tākaka Hill. Retaining wall construction is underway for the next few weeks. This involves lifting 12-15-metre-tall piles and sheets into place then driving them into the ground. This will occur between 7 am and 4 pm, Monday to Friday.
