Lane closures ahead on SH35 Makorori

|

The NZ Transport Agency is advising that State Highway 35 between Makorori Headland and the Makorori surfer’s carpark will be down to one lane on Saturday 14 September, Sunday 15 September and Wednesday 18 September.

Work has been underway since last month to repair a slip on the road, which was the result of the 2018 Queen’s Birthday weekend flood event.

The lane closure over the weekend is required for the installation of a new culvert across the highway, and there will be a further lane closure on Wednesday 18 September for sealing work.

The road will be under stop/go management during the closures, and the temporary 30 kilometres per hour speed restriction will remain in place.

The Transport Agency thanks road users for their patience and understanding.

Plan ahead for a safe, enjoyable journey. Keep up to date with:
