A section of SH75, the Akaroa highway to Hilltop, will be down to one lane between Little River and Summit Road with temporary traffic signals in place for the installation of new road safety barrier (guardrail) from next week – 7 February.
The work is expected to be complete in mid-May and approximately 1km of guardrail will be installed.
Harmans Track will also be closed in early April for two weeks (access to properties will be maintained). it will be signposted at the Puaha Rd/SH75 intersection when the closure is in place.
Short delays for travellers should be expected while the work is underway. NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi thanks all Akaroa highway drivers for being patient as they wait at the temporary signals and the guardrail is installed.
