Further safety work on SH6 at Nevis Bluff this Saturday

|

As result of safety work being suspended at Nevis Bluff last Monday because it was Otago Anniversary Day and there was extra holiday traffic on the road, work will be carried out this Saturday 26 March to make up for that lost time.

This is necessary to ensure the work programme is completed prior to Easter.

NZTA Area Manager Central Otago John Jarvis says that work will continue between 8:00am and 5:00pm with the highway opening for traffic on the hour every hour during these times. Between the regular hourly openings there will be traffic delays of up to 20 minutes.

Regular updates on this work are available on www.highwayinfo.govt.nz(external link) or by phoning 0800 44 44 49.
