Changes to RUC fees

|

Transport Minister Steven Joyce has announced increases in Road User Charges (RUC) that will take effect as scheduled from 1 October alongside the previously announced increased in fuel excise duty (FED) of 3 cents per litre.

The following documents set out the increases to RUC rates that will come into effect in October 2010.

The first group of documents set out, and explain, the increases that will apply to all vehicles from 1 October.

The second group of documents set out, and explain, the additional increases that will apply to trailers from 15 October. The reason for the second increase is due to an error in the legislation that gave effect to the 1 October increases.

Note: These apply only to trailers (vehicle types 24 to 43)
