Expiry of your D endorsement

The expiry dates of a dangerous goods (D) endorsement may differ from your driver licence expiry. The date it expires will be listed on the back of your photo driver licence.

When to renew your D endorsement

We'll send you a reminder about 6 weeks before your endorsement is due to expire. If you've recently changed your address, you can update it with us online.

The renewal process

To renew your endorsement, you must apply at a driver licensing agent. 

You will need to:

• fill in an Application for D, F, R, T, W endorsement form (DL19) [PDF, 170 KB]
• present evidence of your identity
• provide a current medical certificate, if required 
• prove your eyesight meets the required standard
• provide a course certificate that is not more than 60 days old 
• let the agent take your photo and signature
• pay the application fee of $22.00.
