Overweight, higher mass, and overlength permit applications

Apply for an overweight permit if your vehicle is over 44,000kg but meets higher individual axle and axle group limits. It must be no wider or higher than a standard vehicle, and the load must be indivisible or an additional load. Apply for a higher mass and overlength permit for high productivity motor vehicles if you’re carrying a divisible load, or if your vehicle's mass goes over the mass and length limits.

50Max permit application

Vehicles with a 50Max permit can travel on the road network subject to any restrictions outlined in the 50Max book of maps.

Renew a 50Max permit

Apply to renew an existing 50Max permit.

Overdimension permit application

An overdimension (or oversize) vehicle or load is one that exceeds one or more of the maximum dimensions allowed for standard vehicles. To operate an overdimension vehicle or load, you may need an overdimension permit.

Specialist vehicle permit application

Apply for a specialist vehicle permit if your vehicle is defined as a specialist vehicle in the Vehicle Dimensions and Mass Rule 2016. The load must be divisible, and the axle or axle mass meets specialist vehicle mass limits.
