Emerging Professionals Programme – Te Reanga Pito Mata

Our Emerging Professionals – Te Reanga Pito Mata programme brings some of the country’s top emerging talent together with the best people from across the NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi. We offer a unique opportunity for people to go places you never expected within our organisation to help deliver our customer promise – a land transport system connecting people, products and places for a thriving Aotearoa.

Our work spans everything from helping a new driver to complete their licence application to participating in discussions on how cities plan and fund their transport needs, from promoting safer vehicles to reducing deaths and serious injuries to investing in infrastructure.

Our programme includes:

  • a permanent position with NZTA
  • a two-year rotational programme focusing on the area that you have studied
  • opportunities to contribute to meaningful work that makes a real difference to New Zealand
  • ongoing learning and development opportunities that will set you up for the future
  • understanding of a complex public sector organisation
  • participating in a mentoring programme and monthly communities of learning.
