Land Transport Rule: Regulatory Systems Rule Amendment (RSRA) 2025

We sought feedback on changes to the Land Transport Rule: Regulatory Systems Rule Amendment (RSRA) 2025, which proposed changes to the following land transport rules:

  • Glazing Windscreen Wipe and Wash and Mirrors 1999
  • Heavy Vehicles Brakes 2006
  • Heavy Vehicles 2004
  • Light-Vehicle Brakes 2002
  • Vehicle Dimensions and Mass 2016
  • Vehicle Standards Compliance 2002
  • Steering Systems 2001
  • Driver Licensing 1999
  • Traffic Control Devices 2004

41 minor Rule changes were presented in two parts in the discussion document.  Part A sets out small and discrete Rule changes and explains the reason why each change is being proposed. Part B sets out proposed new and amended specifications for Traffic Control Devices (TCD).
